A giggle of girls - First cousins Meredith, 6, Margaret, 3, and Lindsey, 5, got their portrait taken in time for Fathers Day 2006.

Click here to see photos of my nieces Lindsey and Meredith.

Don't mess with the women in this family!

I am the Communications Officer for the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona. I am a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. I am interested in many global issues and how the Episcopal Church is responding. Episcopalians for Global Reconciliation is a good place to start.

I have lost many friends to AIDS and have helped make two AIDS quilts: one for Russ, John and John (above, lower left) and another for Russ and Bill (below, upper left).

I used to play Mah-Jongg and am currently trying to find partners so I can play again. For more information about all forms of Mah-Jongg, sloperama.com is a great site.

I'm a voracious reader - when Margaret gives me the time. Some of my favorite authors are:

Bess Streeter Aldrich | Nevada Barr | L. Frank Baum | MaryJanice Davidson | Diana Gabaldon | Barbara Hambly | Laurell K. Hamilton | Charlaine Harris | Carl Hiaasen | Janette Oke | Jan Karon | Katherine Kurtz | C.S. Lewis | Maud Hart Lovelace | Katie MacAlister | Gregory Maguire | Alexander McCall Smith | Audrey Niffenegger | P.J. Parrish | Christopher Paolini | Eliot Pattison | Elizabeth Peters | Jennifer Roberson | J.K. Rowling | Sharon Shinn | Amy Tan | J.R.R. Tolkien | Laura Ingalls Wilder

Margaret's not the only one who loves dolls and I finally found a way to combine my love of kidlit and dolls - make my own custom dolls!

I love opera and get Arizona Opera season tickets every year with my parents and friends.

A useful genealogy site I found is the Hulse Family Network.

I have several health issues including asthma, endometriosis, hypothroidism, nummular eczema, and sarcoidosis.

While working at the East Valley Tribune I won First Place for Illustration Photography at the Arizona Press Club 2001 Awards. The judges from the Rocky Mountain News in Denver, Colo., said, "The ingenious juxtaposition of two simple black and white elements creates a sophisticated image. Clearly the leader in this category." The image was created from eight photographs and was to illustrate a local theater that offers dinner and a movie.

I was Runner-Up for Designer of the Year in Thomson Newspapers' Reader Inc., 1999 Readership Awards for my photo illustration portfolio.
