California Golda Rush

Golda, a Golden Chocolate Patched tabby Devon female, made it from her foster home in Palm Springs, Calif., to her new home in Eugene, Ore. Thursday April 4-7, 2002: a distance of 964.6 miles and about 16 hours and 18 minutes in driving time. Debbie, Golda's foster mom and rescuer, took Golda to Angela in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 4, 2002. Angela met Barbara in Bakersfield, Calif., later that day. Barbara then met Amy in Fresno, Calif., who had to board Golda overnight at her veterinarian's in Modesto due to car troubles by the next driver. Jennifer got Golda the next day, April 5, in Modesto at the vet's and took her to Gina in Sacramento. Gina fostered her two days in Citrus Heights until she could meet Tasha who was driving down from Oregon. Gina met the new owner Tasha in Redding, Calif., on Sunday, April 7 who took Golda to her new forever home in Eugene. Tasha hopes to get Golda certified as a therapy cat.
